WELCOME to this blog for the JOSS Class of 1968. This blog is for us, members of this class. It celebrates all of us, all that we are individually and as a group, and honors those who have died. Each one of us is uniquely graced and gifted.

Most of us first came together in 1956 at a little-known place in Central Ohio. Others arrived later. Whether we left the Josephinum before ordination or were ordained in 1968, we all followed uniquely individual calls.

We have journeyed through significant historical times - "Camelot", Vatican II, the Vietnam War, exploration of space, the civil rights movement, advances in communication technology, sexual abuse in the Catholic Church, growth in and loss of relationships, terrorism, medical/surgical breakthroughs, "Arab Spring", and much more.

The vision for this blog is to connect anew, share our stories, support one another.

Greetings! Jump on board! Peace and Shalom!

Colorado 2010 - Class of '68 Reunites

The Class of '68 moved their reunion from the Josephinum to Winter Park, Colorado at the foot of Rocky Mountain National Park in August of 2010. Some of us took in a round of golf while the "culture vultures" explored Estes Park. We shared many meals - picnicked in the park and sampled several restaurants in the area. And, of course, there was the morning we got up close and personal with the alpacas. We prayed together at a liturgy concelebrated by the ordained members of the class - Jim, Jerry, and Dan. And, after 50 years, we finally received our high school diplomas with much pride in our accomplishment.

Some of us were adventurous enough to river raft down the magnificent Colorado River, stopping along the way for lunch at a bend in the river.

We hiked around beautiful Monarch Lake on a damp morning and enjoyed chili (and beer) at the condo afterwards.

We took the Georgetown Loop Train ride through the historic mining and railroad park.

We finished high school in June1960. The Class of '68 was the last class not to graduate from high school at the Josephinum.  Finally, after 50 years, we received our high school diplomas.

A proud group of guys
